About Elias Dummer

Elias Dummer is a Juno Award-winning songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario, with over 100 million streams across his work as a solo artist and as the founding frontman of The City Harmonic. His songs have charted on Billboard, been featured at events like the National Day of Prayer and Passion Conference, and appeared across platforms from KLOVE and Air1 to NBC. He has written with and for artists including Building 429, Big Daddy Weave, Newsong, and Dan Bremnes, and spent close to a decade living and working in Nashville.

In 2023, Dummer co-founded Worship Leader Research, a public academic project in partnership with a number of prominent universities. The study — the largest survey of North American worship leaders to date — uncovered that worship leaders experience mental health struggles at 8.5 times the rate of the general population, drawing coverage from Christianity Today, The Washington Post, Religion News Service, and The Holy Post.

Dummer now writes and performs as Frank Fiction, an alt-folk and americana project he has been developing for close to twenty years. He is also co-founder of Crown & Press, a fine art gallery, café, and live venue on Ottawa Street in Hamilton, where he hosts Songs in the Round — a monthly songwriter showcase inspired by Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe.
