Former frontman of The City Harmonic, Elias Dummer, has released a powerful new acoustic version of the beloved hit “Manifesto,” the worship song known for its powerful message of Christian unity and syncopated adaptation of The Lord’s Prayer.
First released over a decade ago, “Manifesto” quickly rose to prominence after entering heavy rotation on radio stations. It spent 15 weeks on the Billboard Christian Songs charts and reached number 1 on Air 1. Its iconic bridge, reciting the Lord’s Prayer almost verbatim, has been a unifying piece in worship settings inside and outside the church. It became the walk-up song for professional athletes in the NBA and MLB and featured as the “See You At The Pole” campaign theme song.
In this new rendition, Dummer brings a fresh and timely interpretation to this classic, inviting listeners to experience the song’s message anew. “The City Harmonic came from small local churches working together, and our first single was ‘Manifesto,’ a worship song celebrating unity in Jesus,” says Elias. “I’ll be honest; I’m not sure the message has stuck. It was always a song about singing to the rafters from a place of common ground in Christ. It might be a good time to dust off and try that again with everything going on.”
“Manifesto” is the first of a series of reimagined songs from Elias Dummer’s catalogue and can be found on all streaming platforms. To listen, click here.
